Hisashi Hara is the Chairman of Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu. His principal practice areas include a variety of transnational and domestic transactions with emphasis on real estate acquisition, development, financing and securitization, M&A, joint ventures and corporate restructuring.

Mr. Hara graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo in 1972 and joined Nagashima & Ohno in 1975. He received an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 1980 and trained at Arnold & Porter's Washington, D.C. office from 1980 to 1981. He became a partner in 1983. In 1991, he became managing partner of Nagashima & Ohno, and in 2000, managing partner of Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu. Since January 2006, he has been the Chairman of the firm.
