

Kazuo Ohtake graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law in 1976 and with an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 1983. Mr. Ohtake trained as a foreign lawyer from 1983 to 1984 at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York and from 1984 to 1985 at Freshfields (currently, Freshfields Bruckhaus Delinger LLP) in London. He serves as a professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Politics from 2010 to present. He is a member of the Dai-Ichi Tokyo Bar Association.
Mr. Ohtake practices all areas of business law, with a special focus on intellectual property law in recent years. He is one of the founding members of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group.
