(Representative: Nobuo Fukui)
Over the past few years, Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu (“NO&T”) has been strengthening its capacity and organizational structure to efficiently support Japanese companies that are expanding operations in China, India and other Southeast Asian countries. In order to meet the rapidly developing needs of these companies, the NO&T Tokyo office has organized a group designated as the “Asia Practice Group“, which focuses on providing legal support to Japanese companies in their activities in Asia; strengthening the firm’s alliances and relationships with prominent law firms in the region; and seconding the firm’s lawyers to, and making the firm’s services availablae in, major cities within Asia. With the aim of enhancing NO&T’s presence in the region to support clients even more efficiently, the firm has moved forward with its plan to establish a local office in Singapore, a city which is centrally located and continues to develop as an essential business hub for the Asia-Pacific region.
