Kazuhiko Yamamoto (Professor at Hitotsubashi University Law School) joined Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu as a special advisor on April 1, 2022.
Professor Yamamoto served as Director of the Hitotsubashi University Law School from April 2019 to March 2021. He has been involved in research and educational activities related to civil procedure for many years as a member of the Japan Association of Law of Civil Procedure, Chairman of the Japan Association of the Law of Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Director of La Société Franco-Japonaise de Sciences Juridiques (the French-Japanese Law Society), member of the Japan Association of Private Law, member of the Japan Association of the Law of Finance, and Director of the Japan International Dispute Resolution Center (JIDRC). He has also been a member of several committees and most recently served in various capacities on the Legislative Council of the Ministry of Justice (e.g., Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Code of Civil Procedure (Digitalization) and Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Arbitration Legal System).
