ADVANCE Corporate Law Seminar
Document production, also commonly known as “discovery”, is in practice often one of the most time-consuming and expensive aspects of cross-border dispute resolution, including international arbitration.
In this seminar, we will explain the document production process and its importance from a strategic and cost/timing management perspective. We will also provide an overview of standard models of document production used in international arbitrations and examine differences in common law based, civil law based, and hybrid approaches.
The seminar aims to equip contract managers and in-house counsel with practical tips to manage document production and steps businesses can take to protect confidential or commercially sensitive information from disclosure. The discussion will follow the life cycle of an arbitration, including day-to-day pre-dispute measures. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage with the panel of speakers, who will share insights from the perspective of arbitration counsel, arbitrator, and mediator.
