Our Shanghai Representative Office (Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu Shanghai Representative Office (Japan)) was established in November 2014.

The Shanghai Representative Office, which is supported by a team of advisors, is led by Yu Wakae as Chief Representative, who brings a wealth of experience and expertise in handling China-related matters, including working in Beijing for several years, and Keiji Tokujiya as General Representative, who has extensive practical experience in local law firms in Beijing and Taipei. In order to provide our clients with highly specialized services based on our vast experience with Chinese legal practice, the Shanghai Representative Office closely collaborates with the lawyers in our Tokyo office.

With the growth of the Chinese economy, overseas expansions by Chinese companies have also been growing at an impressive rate. The firm has a strong practice in each practice area of Japanese law, and many years of extensive experience in providing advice concerning the investments by foreign companies into Japan. Serving as a point of contact in China, lawyers in the Shanghai Representative Office offer advice regarding Japanese law and practice to Chinese companies that are considering making Japanese investments or entering into cooperation with Japanese companies.
