Our Shanghai Representative office (Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu Shanghai Representative Office (Japan)) was established in November 2014.

The Shanghai Representative Office is operated by Yu Wakae as Chief Representative, who has a wealth of experience and expertise in handling China-related matters, including working in Beijing for several years, and Keiji Tokujiya as General Representative, who has extensive practical experience in local law firms in Beijing and Taipei . To meet the increasingly advanced and complex needs of our clients regarding their businesses in China, the office strives to offer the highest quality services by closely collaborating with the lawyers in our Tokyo office and local law firms in China.

With the growth of the Chinese economy, overseas expansions by Chinese companies have also been growing at an impressive rate. The firm has a strong practice in each practice area of Japanese law, and many years of extensive experience in providing advice concerning the investments by foreign companies into Japan. Serving as a point of contact in China, lawyers in the Shanghai Representative Office offer advice regarding Japanese law and practice to Chinese companies that are considering making Japanese investments or entering into cooperation with Japanese companies.
