Now Available: Dialogue “U.S.-Japan Export Controls and Recent Developments in Practice”

NO&T has provided legal services related to import and export regulations across various jurisdictions, including Japan, the United States, Europe, China, and Southeast Asia. In recent years, each country has been steadily tightening export control regulations to enhance economic security, as well as in response to geopolitical developments such as sanctions against Russia. As a result, Japanese companies are facing heightened risks of disruption to their business flows and supply chains. At the same time, sanctions and penalties for violations of export control laws are becoming increasingly severe year by year.
In light of the growing importance of export controls, our attorneys, Oki Osawa and Ryosuke Isaji, held a dialogue on “U.S.-Japan Export Controls and Recent Developments in Practice.” A summary of their discussion has been published on our website.

U.S.-Japan Export Controls and Recent Developments in Practice – Part 1: The Importance of Export Control Regulations and Recent Developments –

U.S.-Japan Export Controls and Recent Developments in Practice – Part 2: Approaches to Internal Control Systems, and Export Control Classification and Customer Management –
