Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu ("NO&T") is pleased to welcome the longtime chairmen of Kobayashi & Associates Law Office, Mr. Hideaki Kobayashi and Mr. Nobuaki Kobayashi, as new partners. Their addition will further strengthen the firm’s expertise in crisis management/internal investigation and restructuring/insolvency, as both partners have considerable experience in these fields.
Mr. Hideaki Kobayashi, having served as a public prosecutor and a member of the Board of Governors of Nippon Hoso Kyokai (NHK), specializes in crisis management/corporate governance and has provided advice on white collar crimes, fraud investigations and how to deal with the media. Mr. Kobayashi has been providing legal services as a partner at NO&T since April 2013.
As for Mr. Nobuaki Kobayashi, he has a wealth of practical experience handling insolvency and restructuring proceedings including large-scale corporate reorganizations. He will be joining NO&T as a partner on October 1, 2013.
NO&T has been offering first-rate legal services in these practice areas by utilizing its global network, especially for issues that are rapidly being affected by globalization, such as investigations into antitrust and financial regulation violations as well as large-scale insolvencies. Through the addition of these two new partners, NO&T will be able to provide an even higher level of effective legal support in these practice areas in response to our clients’ business needs.
