In addition to domestic deals, we have extensive experience in a number of cross-border deals, including financing projects associated with the acquisition of real estate in Japan by overseas investors as well as financing projects associated with the acquisition of overseas real estate by Japanese companies. We also handle a diverse range of asset classes, and have considerable experience in financing projects in various phases of operation, including operating property deals and development projects concerning all types of real estate such as office buildings, residential properties, retail properties, logistics facilities, hotels, healthcare facilities and data centers.
We have represented domestic and overseas financial institutions, operators, investors and other participants in real estate finance, and have provided comprehensive expertise services, such as advising on all aspects of real estate finance, including structuring, establishing vehicles, drafting relevant finance-related contracts and documents, negotiating contracts, researching relevant laws and regulations and rendering legal opinions.
In finance cases involving overseas real estate, we provide our clients with attentive support, taking into consideration the differences between Japanese law and local law through efficient collaboration with our overseas offices and other local firms.
