Legal Seminar
This roundtable will be an opportunity to hear about the latest challenges facing companies in governance, compliance, and global investigations, including a discussion of the practical approaches to mitigating the challenges.
The first half of the panel discussion will focus on U.S. enforcement policy in relation to corporate crime and ensuring the viability of compliance programs, as well as on recent U.K. legislation which enhances the government’s powers to investigate and prosecute corporate crime.
The second half will focus on corporate governance and compliance and how a commitment to governance, compliance and accountability can be incentivized, including the possibility of introducing Deferred Prosecution Agreements (DPAs) in Japan.
The panelists feature a mix of Japanese, English and American lawyers, including a senior lawyer currently serving in the U.S. Department of Justice.
