Kazuo Ohtake

Kazuo Ohtake graduated with an LL.B. from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Law in 1976 and with an LL.M. from Harvard Law School in 1983. Mr. Ohtake trained as a foreign lawyer from 1983 to 1984 at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP in New York and from 1984 to 1985 at Freshfields (currently, Freshfields Bruckhaus Delinger LLP) in London. He served as a professor at the University of Tokyo Graduate Schools for Law and Politics for three years from April 2010. He is a member of the Dai-Ichi Tokyo Bar Association.
Mr. Ohtake practices all areas of business law, with a special focus on intellectual property law in recent years. He is one of the founding members of the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.
